Easter pictures of the family...

Just prior to this picture each of the girls was throwing a fit. We kept the girls buckled into the car as we quickly stopped at home before heading over to my parents house. Dad took these pictures and the girls were grateful to see him at least.

This is SD's fake smile, in case you couldn't tell.

Then we have SV's cheesy grin. (c:

Yes, SC's dress is a little big, but I wanted it to last a couple of months. Funny story about the dresses...I bought SD & SV's last year on clearance and obviously, we added SC to our family. I am a sucker for matching stuff, so I went to ebay and found one for SC. I ended up paying more for SC's than SD and SV's combined, but it still was cheaper than full price for one last year. YEAH!

K's Birthday

We decided to decorate K's room for his birthday and went to get some balloons. With all three kids in the car and J & I, we were lacking space...to say the least. We were able to cram a dozen balloons into the car on SV's side to drive the short distance home.

I found the situation amusing and wanted to capture the moment. Here is SV peering through the bunch of balloons.

The banner and balloons in K's room. It didn't take long to do, but looked pretty good. Oh, and the girls picked out the balloon colors all by themselves.

There were also a couple of mylar's thrown into the mix. Earlier in the day my dad and K went golfing (an entire 18 hole...first of the season for them). This one was to continue the golf theme.

K has great taste in cake...chocolate with Mom's white icing. What more could he ask for? A better cake decorator, but hey, I got all of the 25+ candles lit without burning down the house. We did have a fun grill-out with hamburgers and hot dogs too, all at the birthday boy's request. A nice round of games followed the bbq. It was a great night.

Neighborhood Egg Hunt

Our city puts on an egg hunt for the kids and this year, we decided to go. They divide the ages up and both SD & SV were in the youngest category, so they got to first. I went out into the field with them to help supervise and make sure that they didn't get lost. It was nice that they explained the rules saying that the parents were not allowed to pick up the eggs. The hunt didn't last long, but the girls enjoyed the fun. SD even won an extra prize for a special egg she found...yeah, more candy and stuffed animals. (c:

Our friends joined us with their little girl, M. We took pictures with the Easter Bunny and despite the amount of pictures, there wasn't one with all of them looking forward.

SV LOVES M, but sometimes a little too hard.

I realized towards the end of our adventure, SC didn't have her picture taken with the Easter Bunny. SO, we tracked it down and asked for another chance. We even got SC to smile.

Special Outfit for SC

Before SC was born, J & I were looking for a few warm outfits for our travels over President's Day weekend...and the cooler days around here. Well, we found this super cute newborn outfit that fit our thoughts completely.

Both J & I feel a little displaced being so far from snow. Yes, there are mountains about an hour away and lots of famous ski resorts in them, but we LOVE snow. Even that short hour is too far for us. So, we let our sentiments known with subtle hints from our newborn's wardrobe.

On the shirt AND the fleece jacket are the precious words,

"Let it snow!"

If you hadn't noticed, SC has outgrown this outfit (which J picked out, despite the pink), but I HAD to get some pictures of her in it. It was another short-lived photo shoot. )c:

Last night

No comment needed.

Our Girls...

So the other day I was thinking to myself that I STILL hadn't taken any pictures with all three of the girls. I don't know why...maybe because they usually aren't awake at the same time OR they usually aren't all happy at the same time OR when they are happy, I take a shower (c: OR the camera isn't handy, etc. Well, here they are. All of these shots were taken within minutes of each other...amazing how fast they get tired of the photo shoots. Oh well! I did my best.

SD & SV

Our girls are such great helpers with SC. It's been a little more difficult because the weather hasn't been cooperating enough for us to go outside and utilize our backyard. They are troopers given the homebound lifestyle we have been leading. I love them dearly and wanted to share these great pictures.

Around the world...ping-pong style

When we get together as extended family (like all these posts from President's Day weekend)...and there is a ping-pong table...we end up playing this wonderful, interactive game. It involves almost everyone young or old and spurs up some great competition. We are hoping that there is a ping-pong table coming to our family reunion in June.
