We're having a....

...BABY. We are super happy that baby is healthy, but he/she is apparently EXTREMELY modest. This baby had the cord stuck tightly between his/her legs and would not budge. Sadly, we do not know the gender, but again, he/she is healthy...which is most important. We are looking forward to the due date (Jan 18th) and hoping all will continue well.
Thanks Mom for scanning these!

Latest Pictures of the girls

I struggle sometimes with how long I have to wait to get professional pictures taken of the girls. We haven't had it done since last Halloween time and I finally had enough. So I marched down to the studio with last year's Christmas dresses and this years Easter dresses...praying that everything would still fit. (c:

This is the only one that I don't love...for obvious reasons. Sadie was being "tickled" with a rainbow feather duster and decided to curl up. Oh well, it shows that she enjoys the whole experience.

Sadie loves to have her picture taken at the studio, can you tell? I cannot believe how long her hair is getting. Her Auntie Lenore just trimmed it for us right before the wedding too, so it looks especially good right now.

Savannah did enjoy being "tickled" too...for a time. She also received a haircut from Auntie Lenore (her first might I add), her curls look so much cleaner and bouncy now (which gets her way too many compliments).

Savannah is actually taller than Sadie now, but neither are sitting up straight to show that. I love that they wanted to smile together.

I wanted the bare foot pose because I love their feet, even though they are getting so big. Sadie loves to have her long hair down, which I rarely let her because of the tangles and it getting in her face (I don't understand why it doesn't bother her). Funny, I remember my mom saying something to me about that in junior high.

By the time this picture was taken, Savannah was done. She didn't want to be "tickled," but was laughing when the photographer "tickled" me. I was given the opportunity to make a fool of myself to make my kids laugh. Wait, don't I do that every day, except other adults were present to witness this time. (c:

I have never regretted spending a few extra dollars to capture my children growing up...this time was not the exception either. I hope to continue the tradition of Halloween Costumes captured in a couple of months too. I am crossing my fingers that John agrees!

The Reception

The reception was that night, except it was in Pocatello where M has lived the last 4 years. Her ward was generous in that we didn't have to anything for set up or refreshments...which was super nice, since we all came in town the previous day. It was simple, but very tastefully done.
The newlyweds and parentals.

Funny story about this picture...SV is upset because she just knocked down the tallest pillar of the backdrop, which knocked down the tree with lights behind it. I ran across the gym trying to catch them, to no avail. It was the commotion of everything that scared SV.

H family self-portrait...taken by J, the master.

L, me and S...it was a self-portrait too, except L took it. Almost a master, she is.

I hope that I don't have to tell the who story about this one, but here is a quickie thought. The girls were always sitting at the table when they had a drink (so it's not a drink spill) AND SV is still potty training. LOL!! This will be great for helping her understand the difficulties when she is potty training her own children.

R and M's Wedding

R (J's brother) and M
were sealed for time and all eternity on August 10, 2007 in the Idaho Falls, Idaho. We had the wonderful opportunity to witness this beautiful event and share in making memories as a family. The girls love Auntie M (and Uncle R, but he didn't wear a princess dress) and are happy to have her as a new member of our family.
This one wasn't until the end of taking pictures, but since they are in love, I wanted it at the beginning.

Great family pic...sure...I was trying to get SD to put her hands down even though the sun was bright. It didn't work very well. Next time I will try the sunglasses option.

We went to the other side of the temple and posed there too.

It was warm and SV needed a drink...however, I think she needs some assistance due to the water all over her face.

J and SD walking from pictures out to find our car. A beautiful pose, with nothing more to say.

R's Bachelor Party

So in J's family, there is a tradition, not of Bachelor parties, but of a certain game by the name of Mormon Bridge. I don't know how this game got it's name, because it's not like Bridge, but Mormons do play it. I prefer the term LDS Bridge, but it doesn't have the same ring for some reason. Anyway, since we had all been traveling to Idaho for Ryan's wedding festivities (J's parents flew into SLC the day before, L & S flew into SLC that morning, we drove the remainder of the way from CA that morning/afternoon), we were all pretty tired and worn out. HOWEVER, since this was R's last night as a Bachelor, we all sucked it up and decided to break out the Rook cards. These pics were taken at the beginning of night before the games really started in one of the motel rooms. The girls were sound asleep next door (we had our baby monitors on...amazing how well they work for a 2 1/2 year old and a 4 year old).
Here is S, doing I don't know what, but it's typical S.

I am pretty sure L wanted to get into the picture. (c:

There has been email trash talk for a few weeks about who was going to win and who really needed some extra tissues...notice the parentals are the ones with the Kleenex. hehehe!

Mom with more tissues for her issues.

Here we all are, including Auntie T in the background (our observer for the night)...Mom's taking the picture. Also, side note, I am not just abnormally large in the stomach area, we are expecting #3 in January and from this picture I realized that I cannot pose for pictures in regular t-shirts ANYMORE!!! THE ultrasound in on August 27th if you care to know.

Also, S (L's hubby) won the game, with me (S) following a close second...good job for the in-laws!!

More Pics from SD's Party

S, S and B...where's B? Oh, helping SD open her presents.

J, T on the couch, D in the background...B doesn't look very happy in this one.

J and John blowing up the Diego ballpit with B and T anxiously waiting to help SD try it out.

T, SV and SD testing out the ballpit. How many more kids can we fit in there?

SDs Birthday Party...

J and Opa decorated our playhouse for the birthday party. Didn't they do a great job?

B made SD a card that she was very happy about.

SD wanted to decorate her own cupcake this year, so I didn't have to make a cake (I wasn't too upset). She chose a strawberry cupcake, Oma's special frosting and LOTS of colors of sprinkles.

SV loves Oma's chocolate frosting with her strawberry cupcake...and of course, lots of colors of sprinkles too.

SD received a Diego ballpit for her birthday (from friends) and she LOVES it. B enjoyed it too!!
