We decided to decorate K's room for his birthday and went to get some balloons. With all three kids in the car and J & I, we were lacking space...to say the least. We were able to cram a dozen balloons into the car on SV's side to drive the short distance home.
I found the situation amusing and wanted to capture the moment. Here is SV peering through the bunch of balloons.
The banner and balloons in K's room. It didn't take long to do, but looked pretty good. Oh, and the girls picked out the balloon colors all by themselves.
There were also a couple of mylar's thrown into the mix. Earlier in the day my dad and K went golfing (an entire 18 hole...first of the season for them). This one was to continue the golf theme.
K has great taste in cake...chocolate with Mom's white icing. What more could he ask for? A better cake decorator, but hey, I got all of the 25+ candles lit without burning down the house. We did have a fun grill-out with hamburgers and hot dogs too, all at the birthday boy's request. A nice round of games followed the bbq. It was a great night.
